Yesterday, I spoke with my uncle about how I can pay for college.
He talked about all different kinds of grants and scholarships,
it made me kind of hopeful actually.
It also made me realize,
that it is hard to chase your dreams,
to discover what you want to do with your life,
to find out what is right for you,
especially,
when your dreams have already been compromised.
I didn't apply to my dream school.
My grandmother thought it was "unrealistic" that I would be accepted.
After talking to my uncle last night, I realized that I could potentially have received enough money through grants to pay for all of my schooling, and that with my test scores, I could have been accepted basically anywhere.
Because I was talked out of it by my grandmother,
now
I will never know.
I would rather have a straight rejection than this mystery.
This is one of the things I have done in life that I most regret.
